Celebrating Growth: From Interns to Engineers at Carolina PEC

At Carolina PEC, a Division of Carolina Filters, we believe in investing in our team’s growth and fostering talent from within. Today, we are thrilled to announce the well-deserved promotion of two exceptional individuals who have truly embodied our commitment to professional development.

Please join us in congratulating Cordell Blanding and Charles Harrill (Hunter) on their remarkable journey from interns to full-time engineers! Their dedication, hard work, and passion for excellence have not only contributed to their own success but have also made a lasting impact on our team and projects.

Cordell earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology from South Carolina State University, while Hunter earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Francis Marion University. Both joined us as interns, eager to learn and driven to make a difference.

Throughout their time at Carolina PEC, they have consistently demonstrated outstanding technical skills, innovative thinking, and a collaborative spirit that has inspired their peers. It has been truly rewarding to witness their growth and see them thrive as integral members of our engineering team.

Cordell shared his perspective on the journey, saying: "My development at Carolina PEC from intern to engineer has been characterized by a strong dedication to learning, flexibility, and reliability. The chance to use what I've learned in a practical situation has to be the most fulfilling aspect of my journey. 'Don't quit, never lose your humility, and always be open to learning' is the best advice I can give someone hoping to improve in their roles or complete an internship."
Hunter reflected on his transition from intern to engineer, saying: "Perhaps the most rewarding moment came when I got to design my first ever piece and see it through to its completion—from seeing a need in the plant, to a vision in my head, to a 3D CAD model on the computer, and finally into a fully realized part that sees widespread use in the plant. My advice to other interns and those looking to advance in their roles is to not be afraid of learning the process. Spend time on the floor finding out how different things work, and how a given process is currently laid out. Only then can you start to figure out what changes need to be made."

We are incredibly proud to support their continued success and are confident they will excel in their new roles. Their achievements reflect not only their hard work but also the supportive and dynamic environment we strive to create at Carolina PEC.

Congratulations once again to Cordell and Hunter! Your journey from intern to engineer is a testament to your dedication and the bright future ahead.

We look forward to seeing all that you will accomplish in your new roles.
