Thermal Cleaning

How it works

Thermal Cleaning is a process used to remove organic contaminants by the use of heat and oxygen. PLC programmed convection ovens, equipped with environmental controls, allow large parts such as heat exchangers, vessels, dies, etc. to be gently cleaned and prepared for reuse.

What we do

From filter vessels to breaker plates to porous metal filters embedded with organic material, Carolina PEC utilizes convection ovens for gentle and controlled thermal cleaning of metallic parts and components.

Carolina PEC supports many leading polymer producers in the US by providing full-service filter cleaning, which includes vessel disassembly and reassembly. While individual filters are taken through many steps to provide proper cleanliness, canisters and assembly parts are cleaned and prepared for reassembly in short order through one of our four convection ovens.

“Carolina Filters looks for alternate means of cleaning more than other companies do. The other companies are stagnant on how they clean whereas Carolina tries hard to lessen their environmental footprint. It is always important to try to take care of the environment so that is important to us. Carolina Filters is always looking for new processes and new ways to refine and improve their cleaning expertise.”
